Running Light Rail Relay, "solo"
I ran my first ultramarathon!
Every year, the Light Rail Relay takes place in the Greater Seattle area, taking teams of runners along the length of the Link Light Rail’s 1 Line (currently, approximately 35 miles from Angle Lake to Lynnwood City Center). Put on by race organizer Nick Walker and the run club I run with, Race Condition Running, it’s a fantastic way to see parts of the train line you might not otherwise stop in and meet other local, transit-curious runners.
Race notes to come soon, but for now, here are my station photos to document the distance.
Thank you to Nick for directing yet another fantastic year of Light Rail Relay and to all who helped make it a success. Thanks also to Ethan, who ran the whole way with me, and to RCR, whose company we had for the first 13 miles. What a cool experience to be a part of!
