Running Light Rail Relay, "solo"
I ran my first ultramarathon!
Every year, the Light Rail Relay takes place in the Greater Seattle area, taking teams of runners along the length of the Link Light Rail’s 1 Line (currently, approximately 35 miles from Angle Lake to Lynnwood City Center). Put on by race organizer Nick Walker and the run club I run with, Race Condition Running, it’s a fantastic way to see parts of the train line you might not otherwise stop in and meet other local, transit-curious runners.
Thank you to Nick for directing yet another fantastic year of Light Rail Relay and to all who helped make it a success. Thanks also to Ethan, who ran the whole way with me, and to RCR, whose company we had for the first 13 miles. What a cool experience to be a part of! My station photos:
